Board of Directors

The Board of Directors serves as the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is delegated power to assure that Homeward Bound, as a non-profit 501(c)(3), fulfills its mission and meets its goals.  More specifically, the role of the Board of Directors is to set broad policy, review and approve programs and services, budgets, property assets, and ensure financial stability and accountability.

Vice President, Vestar

R. Patrick McGinley, Vice President of Vestar, is responsible for the property management of Vestar’s portfolio and oversees its daily operations.  He has a big heart when it comes to assisting those in need, made evident by his tremendous community involvement.  He has served on the Homeward Bound board since 2008 and has connected with the agency’s teenagers during the annual Diamondbacks Teen Shopping trip.  Pat is also a member of the Thunderbirds, where he served as the Big Chief (President) from 2007-2008.  The Thunderbirds have raised more than $60 million for local charities to date.  Additionally, Pat is on the board of the Foundation for Blind Children and is the past President of the Executive Council of the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix and Valley Partnership.  He is also a founding member of EC 70 Charities (a local child based charitable organization).  Pat graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a degree in Finance with a Real Estate emphasis and is a certified instructor for the Arizona School of Real Estate.  Prior to joining Vestar in 1989, he held various positions in the areas of commercial lending, property management, and shopping center and office leasing.
